Love the little birds. Just wondering how far apart from one another the Hummingbird feeders should be?
Thanks Sue

We have all 4 types of hummingbirds described and It is not uncommon for us to have at least 50 feeding at any given time. Along with beautiful yellow orioles, gold and purple finches, grosbeak, spotted towhee and many many more…

I’ve had hummingbird feeders at my house in the San Fernando Valley area of Los Angeles for more than 10 years. Two weeks ago, I saw the woodpecker drinking out of one of the hummingbird feeders.

The hummingbirds appear bemused at this cute black and white giant.

I have heard that leaving the feeders out can delay their migration.

Hi – hummingbirds often pick insects from spiderwebs as a key source of protein. Could this have been what you saw? – Hugh

She always lived just across the river in Southern Ohio and feeding RTHU was a passion of hers. We got permission from the nursing home to hang a feeder outside her window; it took a little while but she was so thrilled when they showed up and started feeding. What surprised her most was how many aids and nurses had never seen one before! So now she gets extra company and longer visits thanks to those RTHU who sometimes flutter as if they are watching her in the room to thank her for the feed.
