My cofounder Dr Dan Stowell has created the technology (read about his latest paper here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/science-environment-28358123), and we’ve just received a small grant to build the prototype app itself. Go to any species page and if the “Similars” button (lower right hand corner) is “lit” (bright orange) click it and you’ll gat a set of species with similar songs. Additionally, any set of similar songs can be turned into a new study deck by clicking the “New Deck” button ( at the bottom). That way you can focus on a group of species that might otherwise be confusing.

So far, only a human and another mockingbird can do that…and the human is not always able to id the source. Lol
