Victoria Bird Week

May 11, 2024 All day

Join Rocky Point Bird Observatory and partner organizations for the fourth annual Victoria Bird Week, a week dedicated to celebrating and learning about birds and bird conservation on southern Vancouver Island! Activities will be held at various locations around Victoria, BC, Canada, including Beaver Lake on May 11 (World Migratory Bird Day).

At Beaver Lake, attendees can enjoy banding demos, birds of prey from the Pacific Northwest Raptors, and interactive booths from different organizations.

During the week there will be guided birding walks with experienced locals, online presentations on topics like Bird Parenting and Migratory Bird Sanctuaries, and a keynote presentation at the University of Victoria. There will also be daily DIY birding activities that are family-friendly and can be done close to home like Birding Bingo and Birding by Ear!

Follow RockyPointBird on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter for updates and activities or visit our website.

Victoria Bird Week activities are open to everyone for free or by donation.
